ET Water Systems, LLC (ETWS) produces irrigation control systems that combine state-of-the-art horticultural science and proprietary web-based technology to automate the scheduling of sprinkler and drip irrigation for commercial and residential applications. Water is applied to landscapes based on current local weather conditions (using the science of evapotranspiration or “ET”) and specific landscape factors including plant type, soil type, slope, sun/shade conditions, etc. Weather conditions are accumulated by ETWS from several sources and stored in the ETWS proprietary database. With an ETWS irrigation control system, users are not required to set their initial watering schedules or make ongoing adjustments. All irrigation scheduling is done automatically by the ETWS central server.

In November 2004, ET Water's system became the first product to successfully complete the Irrigation Industry Association's rigorous "Smart Water Application Technology" protocol testing. Initial system manufacturing began in December 2004. ET Water Systems is headquartered in Corte Madera, CA.
